Heya folks,
This verse is running a million miles an hour all through my head right now.
Gracious, Compassionate, Slow to Anger, GREAT in Faithful Love, Good to Everyone, Compassionate to ALL He has Made.
This is God we're talking about, He doesn't have to be any of this. But He chooses to be! I've been thinking allot lately about how Christianity has become the face of judgement, anger, hatred and condescension. People! We as the church, as the physical body of Christ are not here to judge people. We are here for ONE reason and that reason is to love Jesus.
As much of a Sunday school answer as it is, it's the truth. By loving Jesus we in turn get filled with His perfect love and when we are full of love we can pour it out on others and it starts this incredible domino affect that never ends!
God blesses us, we then can bless others. But it all goes back to God because he is using us to be that blessing in that persons life. Basically what I'm saying is this; God chooses to love us, We choose to love God, We choose to love others.
Oh and one more thing! "His compassion rests on ALL He has made." now correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't mean just your friends, family, and "normal people." That means Beautiful, Ugly, Lonely, Homeless, Sad, Overdressed, Poor, Rich, Gay, Muslim, Buddhist, Angry, Tired, Happy, Annoying, Short, Tall, Skinny, Fat, Insecure, Overconfident, Arrogant, Selfish, Giving, Old, Young, EVERYONE! No matter what!
Just remember God is love.
Keep Breathing.
Keep Praying.
Keep Loving.
